Acceptable Use Policy
Effective Date: May 25, 2026 | Last Updated: May 25, 2026
Purpose
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs how you use the Audacion AI Labs citizen science observation platform, including the observation submission tool, your contributor dashboard, the community leaderboard, and the PRISM Research Fellowship program. This AUP exists to protect the integrity of the research, the safety of our contributors, and the quality of the post-deployment AI safety dataset we are building together.
This AUP supplements our Terms of Service. If there is a conflict between this AUP and the Terms of Service, the Terms of Service control.
Observation Submissions: Standards and Expectations
What Makes a Valid Observation
A valid observation is a genuine, honest account of something you personally experienced or witnessed while using an AI system. Every observation should meet these standards:
Authentic. The observation must describe something that actually happened during your interaction with an AI system. It cannot be hypothetical, speculative, fabricated, or copied from someone else's experience.
First-person. You must be the person who experienced or directly witnessed the behavior you are reporting.
Honest. Describe what happened as accurately as you can. Uncertainty documented honestly is valuable data. Certainty that is fabricated is not.
Specific. Include enough detail that a researcher can understand what happened: which AI system, what you asked or did, what the AI responded, and why you classified it the way you did.
Original. Each observation should describe a distinct event. Do not submit the same observation multiple times.
What You Should Not Submit
Fabricated observations. Inventing an AI interaction that did not occur.
Manipulated observations. Deliberately provoking an AI system solely to generate an observation, where the provocation distorts the naturalness of the interaction.
Plagiarized observations. Copying another person's observation and submitting it as your own.
Spam or bulk submissions. Using automated tools, scripts, bots, or AI-generated content to mass-produce observations.
Personal information of third parties. Do not include real names, email addresses, phone numbers, or other PII of anyone other than yourself.
Observations intended to manipulate research. Coordinating to skew the dataset toward a particular conclusion.
Illegal content. Do not submit observations containing or linking to illegal material.
Hate speech or harassment. Do not use the observation tool to target, harass, or discriminate.
Platform Use: General Rules
Your Account
You are responsible for everything that happens under your account. Keep credentials secure. Do not share accounts or create multiple accounts.
Leaderboard and Fellowship Integrity
Any attempt to manipulate your leaderboard position or tier progression through fraudulent submissions, automation, or coordinated gaming will result in account suspension or termination and revocation of all fellowship designations.
Intellectual Property
Do not scrape, copy, or redistribute the observation dataset, taxonomy, or proprietary content without explicit written permission.
Security
Do not attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the platform. Report vulnerabilities to [email protected].
Data Integrity and Research Ethics
We may use automated and manual review processes to identify fraudulent, manipulated, or low-quality submissions, including statistical analysis, consistency checks, human review, and pattern matching.
If we identify violations, we may: remove observations, place submission holds, suspend or terminate accounts, revoke fellowship designations, or report illegal conduct to law enforcement.
Reporting Violations
Report concerns to [email protected]. All reports will be reviewed. You will not face retaliation for good-faith reports.
Consequences
Violations may result in: warning, observation removal, submission hold, account suspension, account termination, or legal action. Severe violations may result in immediate termination without prior warning.
